Dominique Mosley

As a UX Researcher, I am dedicated to uncovering actionable insights that shape intuitive and impactful user experiences. I’m driven by the opportunity to advocate for users, ensuring their voices are heard and reflected in the products we create.

My journey into UX Research wasn’t a direct path—it was a discovery born from curiosity and hands-on experiences. It began during my time at CSU Chico, where I served as a research coordinator for a program in partnership with the Forest Service. I conducted surveys and field interviews with visitors to the Shasta-Trinity National Forest campgrounds, gaining early exposure to the power of user feedback and data collection.

After graduation, I returned to Los Angeles and began an internship at CloudKitchens as a Social Media Manager. During this role, I was asked to assist a freelance UX Designer with user interviews, as she was not a native English speaker. Over the course of the project, I conducted more than 15 interviews with users from both the US and UK. This experience not only honed my communication and analytical skills but also sparked a deeper interest in understanding user behavior.

This pivotal moment caught the attention of Mitchell Wakefield, CloudKitchens' first UX Researcher. Recognizing my potential, he introduced me to the field of UX Research. Inspired and equipped with newfound guidance, I transitioned from intern to a full-time UX Researcher within five months. I began leading my own projects, delivering actionable insights, and contributing to the development of user-centered products.

To date, I’ve conducted over 100 user interviews across diverse industries, generating insights that have directly influenced product strategy and design improvements. I’m known for my ability to bridge the gap between users and design teams, leveraging data-driven analysis and thoughtful research techniques to create impactful solutions.

When I’m not diving into user research, you can find me exploring local hiking trails, experimenting in the kitchen, or devouring a good book. My ultimate goal is to create products that not only meet user needs but also delight and empower them in unexpected ways.

I’m always eager to collaborate on user-focused projects. Feel free to reach out or explore my portfolio to see how I’ve turned insights into impactful designs.
